2002-2005
All Rites Reserved was formed in October 2003 as an acoustic duo by Stephan Darnutzer and Barry Cormier. As more songs were written, they decided to try and make this a full-band effort, joining up with bassist Kenny Tarver and drummer Frank Pellerin. On October 23, 2004, ARR performed for the first time as an electric four-piece at Breezy's Downtown in Lake Charles. Soon after, they began recording an all-acoustic EP called Crawlspace. Since its December release played various showed that included Dagostino's Bistro and Luna Bar & Grill in Lake Charles and a two-night stint at Cheryl's Bar & Grill in Alexandria, LA.
In late February 2005, they recorded their first effort as a full band, an EP called The Trouble With Order, with local producer Shawn Hodges at the helm. During the summer of 2005, All Rites Reserved returned to the studio again with Shawn Hodges, this time for A Greek Tragedy Out West, their debut album, completed September 23, 2005.
