Acid Bath
1991-1997
Acid Bath was a legendary sludge metal band coming from Houma, L.A. Their music was a mix of gothic, heavy, and death metal.
Originally formed as Golgotha in 1991, later brought along Sammy Duet and Audie from Dark Karnival.
They released two full length albums (When The Kite String Pops and Paegan Terrorism Tactics) and four demos, and a live bootleg video.

They eventually got signed to Rotten Records.
Then sadly In January 1997, Audie Pitre and his parents, Nora and Kermit, were killed when they were hit head-on by a drunk driver on the Bourg-Larose Highway in Louisiana. His brother, Kelly Pitre, was also in the car and survived the crash. The driver was convicted of three counts of vehicular homicide.
